Terahertz Imaging Detection is one of the types of systems with which our graduates will have a chance to work. How prepared are you to sort through the social and constitutional questions this tool raises? There is a cost as well as benefit in such systems – where do you draw the line between immediate law enforcement value and the value of preserving each citizen’s enumerated rights? (Think fourth amendment before you think second.) Will you risk falling on the wrong side of that line in your career?
