Some smart meters aren’t so smart

High-tech power meters intended to give power suppliers more control over how (and when) that power is used by the end consumer. Apparently nobody was thinking hard about cyber security when some of these devices were designed, as they are being hacked to alter the reporting of power consumption in favor of the consumers. Who’d have guessed that?
