Police in DC announce balanced policy on filming police action

Huzzah for Chief Cathy Lanier for her department’s new policy which recognizes the rights of citizens to record what they see in public – even if it includes cops in her department doing their job.

It is a giant step in the right direction, and Lanier is due some serious praise for her move.
