Court upholds use of domestic drones in police action on US soil

“A North Dakota court has preliminarily upheld the first-ever use of an unmanned drone to assist in the arrest of an American citizen.”

Local police were engaged in an action against the defendant over some stray cows on the man’s range. A stand-off ensued, and DHS made the drone available for purposes of surveillance of the property in support of police raids.
