As rioting continues throughout the Muslim world in protest over a controversial film depicting Muhammad in a way that, at best, reflects questionable taste, US authorities identified publicly the maker of that film, which had up to this point had somewhat obscure origin. Which brings the interesting question: if no crime was involved, then what business is it of the feds to track down and ‘out’ a filmmaker who may just have been exercising free speech? Other than to place his life in jeopardy as a warning to others who may be considering exercise of rights in the future.
