Baltimore creates social media policy for firefighters

“The Baltimore Fire Department has implemented a strict new social media policy for what firefighters can post on Twitter, Facebook and personal blogs — drawing criticism that the department is trampling on First Amendment rights.”

Should you be able to use your mobile phone while at work? What if that work was as an emergency first responder and took you into the personal space of someone else? Do you have a right to photograph cops who are on the job in public? If you are a cop on the job, does your employer have the right to bar you from photographing police operations to expose activities in real time?
