Ordinary citizens going about their business are being shaken down by the feds as they exit lands owned by the federal government and typically used by shooting enthusiasts. The excuse? To find out if they picked up their spent brass. Of course, along the way the officials are checking wants or warrants, searching for alcohol or narcotics and a host of other things in the overreaching action. As noted in the article, they aren’t checking illegal aliens to ask them to police of trash they dump when trekking across the border.
