Incentivizing success the right way – with capitalism

A novel idea worth consideration here is found in Minnesota, where students transferring in from a community college will get tuition breaks at the 4-year program based on their performance on independently administered tests of critical thinking skills. This seems like a good technique for combating grade inflation. How many places are willing to put their money where their students’ performance is? Not just the grades. Definitely watch with interest!
