“On Monday the server that houses [Utah’s] Medicaid claims was hacked.” Personal information from over 181,000 participants in the system was stolen, and an estimated 25,000 had social security numbers included in that loss. Oops.
If only we could say this is some kind of record, but the truth is, it’s small – except to all the people who will soon undergo the joys of identity theft.
