Nipples!

 Government, Speech  Add comments
May 172012

Here, let’s say it again: Nipples.

We’ve just done more than a Foreign Service spouse can do via a blog that had been (now no longer) listed in a state department blogroll. This breast cancer survivor was describing some of the pain and issues with reconstruction, at a site which once had received high acclaim at the State Department. But use of the even “N-word” – nipples – got her banned. If you talk about the pain of breast cancer, then be sure not to say nipples if you don’t want your government censoring you from access via its sites.
