Lacking legislative consensus on how to craft security policy for US industries, the Obama administration is moving forward with the drafting of an executive order which would have much the same effect. Standards for security would be created by the feds, required of those doing business with select agencies (or to get certain types of business insurance), and for the rest would ostensibly be “voluntary”.
