GWU’s National Security Archive “Rosemary” award goes this year to the Obama Justice Department for its zealous fight against accountability. That may not be how the award reads on any plaque, but that’s the essence of the award which is given each year in the name of Richard Nixon’s secretary, who famously deleted 18 minutes of critical material from some of the Watergate tapes.

As reported, this Justice Department has done its utmost to chill ‘whistleblowers’ (who might otherwise expose inappropriate government behavior), stonewall Freedom of Information requests and more.
